The return of Tetsuo Kurata in Kamen Rider Decade

Japanese actor Tetsuo Kurata played a role as Kotaro Minami (‘Kong Tai Long’ in Cantonese), the protagonist of Kamen Rider Black and the sequel, Kamen Rider Black RX. He was one of my fave childhood characters from a masked superhero film or series and the both of those series were my fave installments of the Kamen Rider series. He has recently returned to act as the same character in Kamen Rider Decade (episode 26, 27 & the movie, in which the famous J-rocker and singer of the Kamen Rider Decade theme songs, Gackt, made an appearance as well) but age does not lie as he does really look much much older now.

Look at how he used to look like 21 years ago in Kamen Rider Black RX!

And these are some of the cut scenes from episode 27 of Kamen Rider Decade. I almost cried when I saw this as he was truely an inspirational idol to me when I was a kid and to see him again as both Kamen Rider Black and Black RX after all these years was really really moving.

He looks really old now but he’s still very cool to me. Since I couldn’t find that trademark white jacket he wore in the Black RX series, I think I might just purchase the one he wore in Decade. I have always wanted a white biker jacket that’s not made of leather. It’s kewwwwl!

By the way, is it just me or are the actors of the modern Kamen Rider series suck? The acting of the protaganists of Kamen Rider Decade really suck big time to me and in my books, if you can’t even do a Jay Chou Ci Bai, you can’t act at all.
