Thanks to G-plus of Nuffnang again, I had the privilege to attend yet another awesome event. This time it’s Johnnie Walker’s Black Circuit Lounge. Apparently, this party was so exclusive that even money couldn’t buy you the invitations. The details on the location were kept from public.
As far as I know, it was a V-VIP race party organised annually in conjunction with the Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix, giving the invited guests an experience of the lifestyle of F-1. This year it was held on the 9th of April at Le Marquee, Palace of the Golden Horse. Many celebrities attended and perhaps that’s why the location was kept secret from public. I was never quite a fan of F-1 racing, therefore I still have no idea why Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button’s faces were all over the place.
First of all, V-VIP F1 lifestyle my ass. The invitations stated that it was going to be start at 8pm but it was delayed until around 9 and my date, Li Chuen, and I ended up waiting for an hour queueing up outside.
They had tables for us, “bloggers”, but no seats. And the air-conditioning of the place was horrible. I couldn’t take the heat, thus I had to take off my blazer.
Similar to most of the exclusive alcohol-involved events these days, they had photographers at the entrance taking pictures of every group of guests along with their product and brand name.
They were serving free-flow unlimited cocktails, mixed and of course, bottles of Black Label.
I couldn’t care less about the DJ’s because club music is never my cup of tea but thanks to the booze, I started dancing to every beat later on that night.
In overall, despite some of the event’s downsides, I still had a lot of fun. I’m sure they’d have improvements the next time around and I could only hope that I would be able to attend again.
I shall end this entry with lasers and hot dancers:
