“College student Sara finds her safety jeopardized after she’s assigned to a dorm room with a new roommate, Rebecca.” -Sony Pictures Releasing International

Verdict: Youngsters may find this film quite entertainingly terrifying but there are actually other movies with similar plot involving crazy obsessed friend or lover, and this one was probably the worst one I’ve ever seen. It’s extremely predictable and painfully boring to watch; unoriginality at its best. However, I do think that Leighton Meester performed quite well on her lead role as Rebecca.

Pointless conversations and scenes: (SPOILER BEGINS HERE) Stephen plays drums for his band, tells Sara that he decides to quit but invites her to the band’s gig later on. What’s the significance of that? What a load of time-wasting! At the climax ending, Sara tries to use the telephone in the room but it doesn’t work. Why can’t she just use her cellphone? Come on, I could definitely write a better script than this! (SPOILER ENDS HERE)

A real nutcase? (SPOILER BEGINS HERE) Not only that she’s a crazy and violent bitch, she’s also quite confused with her sexuality. She has phone sex with Sara’s ex-boyfriend, Jason, and then goes to a club to pick up a woman for some lesbian action. (SPOILER ENDS HERE)
