Take Me Home Tonight

Rated: 18
Genre: Comedy, drama
Running Time: 1 Hour 38 Minutes
Director: Michael Dowse
Cast: Topher Grace, Teresa Palmer, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler

“Follow an aimless college grad who pursues his dream girl at a wild Labor Day weekend party. He, his twin sister and their best friend struggle with their burgeoning adulthood over the course of the night” (United International Pictures).

Verdict: Well it’s pretty much a teen flick with grown up characters. The plot is very similar to the 1998 film “Can’t Hardly Wait” so nothing is original about the movie. Also, the movie offers more bad influences than genuine moral values or motivation. However, it’s still alright for some no-brainer amusement when you have too much money and time to spend.

Morals of the story: (SPOILER BEGINS HERE) Give things a shot, give yourself a chance, chase your dreams, blablabla… Lie to impress your dream girl until after you’ve fucked her. Don’t marry idiotic rich douche bags. If you’re lacking of confidence, pussies and are in need of a smashing good time, get some cocaine. If you wanna break the law and get away with it, make sure your dad is a cop. (SPOILER ENDS HERE)

Rating: 2 / 5

Second opinion: “Okay la… I was happy watching it. No need to think much” (Iris Loong).

The premiere screening of the film was courtesy of Nuffnang.
