What’s Your Number?

What's Your Number film poster movie review Chris Evans Anna Faris

Rated: 18
Genre: Romance comedy, chick flick
Running Time: 1 hour 46 mins
Director: Mark Mylod
Cast: Anna Faris, Chris Evans, Zachary Quinto, Andy Samberg, Ari Graynor, Martin Freeman
Synopsis: “In this edgy comedy, Anna Faris is Ally Darling, an offbeat young woman who decides, after hitting the un-magical number of 20 lovers, to re-visit all her ex-boyfriends in the hopes of finding the man of her dreams. She’s assisted in her quest by her womanizing neighbor Colin, played by Chris Evans” (20th Century Fox).

Verdict: An unattractive slut gets together with a super attractive guy – every girl’s dream, is it not? This is an absolute chick flick, an extremely boring one for that matter. Even Anna Faris‘ comical performance and considerably nice rack are not enough to save this film from being a total horror for male viewers to sit through. What’s Your Number is full of cliches, lack of good humour and has an extremely weak ending. Not to mention about Chris Evan‘s unlively performance. Zero on-screen chemistry between the two leads.

Illiterate or in denial? Ally reads an article on the magazine that states the average and common amount of relationships women get into before getting married, which is the reason why she re-visits the past 20 fuckers she slept with but most of them were actually just one night stands and not actual relationships. Oh well, to be fair, she’s a blonde.

Chris Evans gets naked A LOT here. Even from the beginning of the film. But not to the extend where his package can be seen of course. Yeah, yeah, shut the fuck up, girls, and close your legs.

The ending: [SPOILER BEGINS HERE] Ally dumps the perfect and rich Jake Adams (Dave Annable) at her sister, Daisy (Ari Graynor)’s wedding to get together with Colin. She then finds out that she didn’t have sex with one of the 20 guys on the list and celebrates that Colin is actually the 20th guy who fucked her. So the moral of this is… trust beauty magazine advices and statistics? [SPOILER ENDS HERE]

Malaysian censorship: Quite a few scenes. Most of it are obviously because of mild nudity and sex. The only scene with Andy Samberg (famously known for being in Saturday Night Live skits like Dick in a Box and Jizz In My Pants)’s cameo appearance is almost completely cut off.

Rating: 0.5 / 5
