Genre: Homo romance, pedophilia, bestiality, ultimate chick flick
Running Time: 115 minutes
Director: Bill Condon
Cast: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner
Synopsis: “After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi” (Nusantara Edaran Filem).
Verdict: Robert Pattinson‘s casual acting in this one says it all – he was just as glad that the oh-so-wrong saga’s finally over. Seriously, it’s so obvious that you can see it in his face, it’s like he was working after tendering resignation letter. The film’s unintentionally hilarious in the first 10, then extremely boring for about an hour, then comes a lot of appearing-at-the-right-time posers, then a little supernatural training like a fantasy action cartoon, and then comes the epic Dragon Ball-like final battle between the vampire-werewolf bunch and the… vampire bunch, which they (or she) fucked it up just to give the series a perfect happy chick flick fairytale closure. In the first half, it’s so rushed that it felt like a quick summary of the book its based on. There’s no patient development on how Bella adapts as a new vampire and her acceptance over Jacob’s pedophilic imprint on her new born baby. Fans of the book should actually despise this adaptation more than the bias anti-Twilight people.
Second opinion: “It’s so confusing…” (Iris Loong).
Is it just me or… is the face of the baby and the younger Renesmee seem like a poor CG work?
What can girls learn from this film? It’s okay to ditch your parents without giving them a thorough, reasonable explanation. It’s also okay to accept that someone who used to go after you to go after your daughter just because he says he “can’t help it”. Whose to judge anyway? She’s 18 and her husband’s over a hundred. But then again, her daughter’s only one year old and the guy’s a dog!
Malaysian censorship: Most of the decapitation and dismemberment sequences are cut where ALL kissing and sex scenes removed. Can’t say I agree that love scenes between two undeads are more of a bad influence than heads and limps being ripped off.
