ONE FC: Roar of Tigers all set to rock Kuala Lumpur on 17 October

Ann Osman takes on Aya Saeid Saber, total of 6 Malaysian fighters on fight card

I’m glad I wasn’t the only person who felt that the previously announced co-main event was a tiny bit strange. The official full card for the coming 21st ONE FC event is released and the bout between Peter Davis (8-3) & Vaughn Donayre (7-2) is now the new co-main event. Malaysia’s first pro-MMA female fight Ann Osman (1-1) gets promoted to the main card after getting her first win against Ana Julaton, who won against Aya Saied Saber (2-4), who Osman will be facing next.

Peter Davis is a local superstar and the face of MMA here in Malaysia. Besides that, the Wuji man’s also a model, actor and a father. He is on a 2-fight winning streak and will be in the cage against a Filipino who, on the other hand, is on a 2-fight losing streak (according to after losing in an Undercard bout (yup, straight to the co-main event he goes, too) against Mohammed Walid in ONE FC 19: Reign of Champions. Vaughn Donayre was from URCC and had 5 finishes out of his 7 career wins, while none of Peter’s fights in the ONE FC have gone to the judges scorecard yet so this should be quite a thrilling bout for us Malaysians who’d definitely want to see the triumph of our local heroes.

Based on record, it does appear like these two local stars of ours aren’t getting a tougher challenge yet so there’s a heavier pressure on them now to be victorious in front of the home crowd. Sabahan Marc Marcellinus is back after his debut loss at ONE FC 11: Total Domination, he will be facing a tough challenge against Anatpong Bunrad, who’s won 3 of his 4 career fights thus far. Malaysian young prospect Gianni Subba (4-1) is not on this card despite showing up at the media workout recently but that would mean that he could be featured as part of the Super Fights at the coming MIMMA2 Grand Finals where his younger brother Keanu Subba will be defending his amateur championship title.
