The Roof’s three-day 2nd anniversary party continues till 14 November 2015

Happy second birthday, The Roof! Located right beside 1 Utama the largest shopping mall in Malaysia, The Roof is one of Asia’s iconic tourist attraction and integrated entertainment hub with 8 unique experiences at 1 destination, including PLAY Club, the newly opened cool contemporary bar HIDE, the sports bar SCORE, and the multiple award-winning restaurant Yezi, just to name a few.

During Lee’s welcome address, he said that Stratosphere, The Roof’s crown jewel, was rated no. 1 on TripAdvisor for Selangor nightlife attraction. It’s also Asia’s first and only luxury open-air rooftop bar nestled on top of an infinity grassed helipad.

Cocktails, beer and awesome canapes were served at Stratosphere while we enjoyed the lovely panoramic bird’s eye view of the city and greater Klang Valley. After a top hat dance performance and a spectacular “upclose” fireworks, we moved on to check out the new HIDE bar and had some tasty snacks at SCORE (as I mentioned before, the nachos here are awesome). Plenty to do before the clubbing time begun after 10pm.

The highlight of the celebration was of course, Far East Movement, the chart-topping American hip hop EDM group who had big hits such as Like a G6, Rocketeer and Turn Up the Love. The trio consisting of Kev Nish, Prohgress and DJ Virman gave a highly energetic performance for jam-packed crowd in PLAY Club from 1am onwards.

It was a bit like an early Christmas countdown party as everyone was in red (as anyone who didn’t wear anything red were not allowed into the club) and it was so overcrowded on the dance floor that crowd-surfing was a piece of cake for Prohgress. Like Mr. Dax Lee, I don’t know much about Far East Movement nor do I like EDM, but I have to say that these fellas sure knows how to bring down the house.

The party continued on the next night with DJ Femme at PLAY Club, and on Saturday the 14th, it’ll finish off with Skytrex. The Roof’s 2nd birthday celebration also offers fun challenges, voucher giveaways and exclusive prizes up for grabs including “The Ultimate Roof Experience” worth RM10,000. You can also sign up for the newly introduced membership card which provides exclusive money-can’t-buy benefits and privileges. But there’s no need for that to join this celebration as public are all welcome.
