Heineken Malaysia presents The Great Brew Fest for Oktoberfest 2018
It’s that time of the year again where people around the world enjoy a lot of beer. Heineken Malaysia will be having The Great Beer Fest from October 1st to November 10th where there will be great value for your favourite beers from Heineken nationwide at participating outlets in Malaysia. Drinkers can join in the fun brew games and giveaways valued at more than RM250,000 in total. Fans will also get to experience the exclusive limited release festival beer — Tiger Amber Lager — the first locally brewed amber lager.
And what’s a beer festival in October without limited edition mugs? Consumers will could own a first-of-its-kind set of the “brew inspired art” designer mugs, created by Heineken Malaysia in collaboration with some of Malaysia’s most talented and renowned artists — CLOAKWORK, Kenji Chai, Beautiful Machines featuring Sling, Jarold Sng and Lynda (Pink Tattoos). The designs are laser etched on to metallic-coloured mugs, worthy of a collector’s item.
At glance, the colours of the mugs together kinda reminded of some Nescafe packaging but looking at them upclose, they’re quite beautiful and seems very high quality indeed. If you’re a collector of beer mugs, you don’t want to miss out on these.
Collect your set of limited edition designer mugs with purchase of your favourite brews. Give your best shot in The Great Brew Fest MugShot contest. Rewards include more than 2000 redemption vouchers that entitle you to either a bucket/draught set or a bottle/glass of your favourite brew. To encourage consumers to travel safely during the festival, Heineken Malaysia is also giving out RM10 Grab codes.

At the media event last Friday (Sept. 21st), the attendees were shown how to pour draught beer the right way and I learnt that for certain brands or type of beers, there are slightly different methods to do it. I managed to decently serve myself a few pints of nice cold Heineken, Kirin Ichiban and Apple Fox Cider. In the end, I think I’d like to be served more than doing it myself. It’s a fun experience though.
